Munich Administrative Court rejects suit by U.S. AWOL soldier André Shepherd
Observers have impression of bias in asylum proceedings

The suit brought against the negative ruling in U.S. AWOL soldier André Shepherd's application for political asylum was rejected in the decision by the Administrative Court published yesterday. Two days ago the Administrative Court had reviewed the case in a five-hour hearing, taking into account a fundamental decision by the European Court of Justice.

On 16 November 2016, the Munich Administrative Court will be hearing the case of the request for asylum submitted in November 2008 by the 39-year-old AWOL U.S. soldier André Shepherd.

Pro Asyl, the conscientious objectors' network Connection e.V., the Bavarian Refugee Council, the German Peace Association (DFG-VK), Bavarian section, and the Munich American Peace Committee (MAPC) invite you to come to Munich for this.

On September 12, 2015, in Frankfurt/Main the foundation, PRO ASYL will present its this year's human rights award to the U.S. AWOL soldier and asylum candidate in Germany, André Shepherd. The international conscientious objector network, Connection e.V., salutes this decision.
